150th Anniversary

St. John’s 150th Anniversary!

Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008 marks the actual 150th anniversary of our congregation’s incorporation and the beginning of a year long celebration of God’s blessings.

Our theme is "Celebrate the Past—-Plan for the Future".
The various Anniversary committees have plans for many special commemorative events during this time

Here are a couple of highlights: The Nov.15/16 Anniversary Weekend events will be at the Washington Co. Fair Park with a dinner, program and dance on Saturday and one Sunday worship service with well-known historian and lecturer, Rev. Dr. Paul Maier, as our guest preacher. Starting in December, every fourth weekend of each month will feature one of St. John’s former pastors as our guest preacher except in January when Rev. Dr. Patrick Ferry, President of Concordia University, WI, will be our guest preacher. We will close our Anniversary celebration again at Washington Co. Fair Park on Oct. 4, 2009 with Rev. Dr. Gerald Kieschnick, President of our Missouri Synod, as our guest preacher. Following are the events as now planned.
