Welcome to St. John's Lutheran School Library.  We are connecting, caring, and sharing in Christ.

Come in and see the NEW BOOKS shelf.  It is filled with books we purchased using our Book Fair profit.  Thanks to all who supported our Book Fair, we were able to purchase current fiction and nonfiction books for the Library along with the AR tests.

The Library has 7,561 books.   We are blessed to have a wonderfully equipped Library.  We thank God for Connie Dentzler whose estate has given the Library the majority of its funding.  It is through her generosity that we have a part-time certified Librarian, computer system, wood book shelves, carpeting, chairs, and a wide variety of books.

We also thank God for the Edna Hoefert memorial gift to the Library.  This will enable us to buy books for the next 5 years.

Our Library functions smoothly due to the help of our volunteers.  Bless you for your willingness to serve.  The Library circulated 13,029 books last school year!   IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP US THIS SCHOOL YEAR, PLEASE CONTACT MRS. PETERSON IN THE LIBRARY.  It takes many willing hands to check out and shelve the books we circulate.  The students appreciate your help.

Students: The Accelerated Reader list of quizzes is on our website - see the link on the left side of the screen when you log on to the School page.  If we don't have a book you want, try the West Bend Library. They have a copy of our AR booklist.  It is behind the Youth Librarian's desk on the main floor.  You may use it to look up any title and check to see if we have the AR Test.  You can check out the book from them and take the AR test here at school.

What I like best about teaching:  Helping students find a book to read that excites them.

My goals for my students are:  To have students enjoy reading books and to learn how to use the library to find the books and information they need both for pleasure reading and for class assignments.

My favorite Bible passage is:  Ephesians 2:8-9  "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."  What a gift the Lord has given us all!
