Great Oaks: High Ropes Week
Sun. Aug 3rd – Fri. 8th
WHO “JR HIGH” 5th to 8th Grade will be going with 5 other youth
groups,…hoping for 100 people total. Bring friends !!
WHO “SR. HIGH” 9th to 12th grade will go as “Leaders”,…
this means that you will be in charge of singing, dramas, small group,
games and prayers.
Basically your job is to make sure the 5th to 8th graders have the BEST week
of their life!!
WHAT:
Sunday: 6pm arrive 7:30 to 11 Team building, Worship, Bible study, games
Mon-Thur. 8:30 to noon: Bible study, Quiet time, & really FUN team games.
Noon: Lunch
1pm to 4:30 On the team Ropes challenge course
4:30 to 5:30 ‘SWIM’ or planned free time
5:30 Dinner
6:30 to 11pm Team building games, Bible Study, Testimonies,
Drama/Skits night, Night games, Worship,
Encouraging Circle, Fire Pit, Altar Prayer, Wacky Olympics
Fri. 8am pack – clean-- Leave at 10am, Mc Donald’s home at 4pm
Where: Great Oaks is 30 min. North of Peoria Ill. Near Lacon,
about 5 hours from West Bend.

When: Leave at 1pm from St.Johns on Sunday, Aug. 5th.
We will be home at 5pm on Friday Aug. 10th.
COST: $200.00 (A deposit of $50.00 will get your name on the list.)
The rest of the $150.00 is due the day we leave.
The money will cover everything except
2 Mc Donald’s meals and candy/pop at camp ($10. 00 to 20.00 bucks)

Ropes Course: What is it? What will we do?
a) Climb 40 feet in the air, and jump off the top of the pole
b) Climb a swinging ladder, 50 feet in the air. (You need to trust a friend).
c) Go down a ZIP LINE 120 feet long. Flying over trees, 60 feet in the air.
d) Climbing across ROPE STEPS blindfolded, 25 feet in the air.
e) Climbing through the Spiders web w/out touching it.
f) Spending 45 min. on the ‘MO-HAWK’ walk, very difficult to balance.
g) Climb a 15’ foot Wall, not done without others.
h) The Missionary Crossing: Most difficult task, no one has done it yet!
i) Rebirth: climb up over and down a large tire w/ your team.
j) Swim: Jump on the huge blob in the lake.
k) Mess night, Capture the Flag, Skit night, Large TEAM games, & Star
l) There are 5 youth groups coming: Great Bible Studies and live worship!
m) Altar prayers & Worship will put you on your knees w/ hands up!
n) Bible Challenges, and Testimonies will inspire your faith/trust in Jesus
