Our Beliefs
God
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Father
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. God has made us and all creatures. He richly and daily provides us with all that we need to support this body and life.
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He now is the only mediator between God and his creation. Jesus is the firstfruit of the resurrection of the dead, the hope of the Christian.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. We believe that we cannot by our own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ or come to him, but the Holy Spirit calls us by the Gospel, enlightens us with his gifts, sactifies and keeps us in the true faith.
Humanity
We believe that people were created in the image of God for a loving, trusting relationship with God. However, all people rebell against God, actively and passively going their own independent way. We are alienated from God and suffer the corruption of our nature because of our sin.
Salvation
We believe that Jesus willingly took our sinfulness upon Himself and died the death we deserved. He died in our place taking our curse upon himself so that we might have our relationship with God restored. We are only saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
