The best thing in my life besides Jesus, is my wife Renee. We were married in 1995 and now have two wonderful kids, Hannah and David. Hannah wants to own a fudge shop and go to India as a missionary. My son David has autism, he loves to laugh and is a pure joy to be around. I enjoy building up leaders and seeing God work in them. I have been able to travel to many places in the world such as India, China, Thialand, Mexico, Russia and Guatemala. Traveleing and sharing the 'good news' of Jesus has been a great gift from God. I also enjoy walking with youth and sharing the gospel with them as we deal with issues in life.

I am thankful to be chosen by Christ! My role as your Stewardship Director is to assist individuals and families to live a life for Christ. Part of living for Christ, is recognizing that all we have, is a gift from our Lord. Stewardship sounds so eary, and yet is very hard. As well as having conversations relating to daily stewardship, I also want to help all our members develop a Lifetime Plan for Giving.
Born and raised in Sheboygan, I have had the opportunity to attend Lutheran schools for my entire education, including my collegiate career. Before joining the team here, I was working with our sister ministry, Concordia University Wisconsin for 5 years as the Director of Annual Fund and Student Relations. Prior to my work at my alma mater, I was serving as a science teacher and coach at Orlando Lutheran Academy.

I am currently enrolled in the Specific Ministry Program (SMP) through Concordia Seminary St. Louis. The distance learning program provides weekly instruction with a seminary professor, weekly mentorship with Pastor Dorth, and weekly experiences in care ministry. God willing, I will be ordained in the fall of 2012 and transition from school ministry to pastoral ministry at St. John's.

God has blessed me with a wonderful husband, Warren; two special children, Jon and Gabby -- both happily married; and a precious grandaughter, Taylie. After 22 years of teaching preschool - 8th grade, I changed careers to counseling children through adults at St. John's Church as well as Kettle Moraine Counseling in West Bend and Graf Counseling LLC in Mequon. I love to coordinate spirituality with psychology to help people find their value in Christ, experience more of God's blessings, and support them through difficult times.

St. John's has been my church home for basically my entire life. I was baptized, confirmed and married here. My wife, Mel, and I met here at youth group and our first child, Elias, was recently baptized here as well.
I was brought on as a part-time staff member in 2005; working within Youth, Worship, and Children's ministries until 2008. I now serve full-time with mainly the worship ministry; specifically the contemporary worship teams. I love it and it's a total honor.
Mel and I have been married since 2005 and were blessed with our first child in November of 2009. We love to play volleyball, go fishing, and watch sports together. (Yes, Mel watches sports with me, it’s awesome!)

I have a wonderful husband named Doug, who is the Assistant worship director here at St. Johns and we had our first child in November 2009, his name is Elias. Both my husband and I have been lifelong members of St. John's, we met in the youth group while we were in High School. I accepted a call here in 2007 to be the 4 year old teacher within our Circle of Friends Early Childhood Center. I have formed many new friendships as I have served our young families at the center. I love watching the children grow and learn during their time in the Childcare Center and beyond at our day school.

I enjoy teaching the third graders of St. John's Lutheran School.  It is a joy to see their growth through the school year - in academics, in friendships, and especially in faith.

I enjoy participating in a number of ministries at St. John's - LWML, Altar Guild, Stamping Ministry, VBS, Small Group Bible Study and prayer chains.

Have been on staff since being called from Elkhart, Indiana in June 1998. I married Deb in 1974 while we were in college at Concordia Teachers College, Seward, Nebraska. We have two married children: Jon is working as a Thrivent representative in in St. Louis and married Michelle. Gabrielle is working on her Masters Degree at Marquette and is married to Rob. Gabby and Rob made us Grandparents with the birth of Taylor. My day is spent taking care of any of the details of the 300+ worship services we have at St. John's each year. I write all the worship services other than the chapels and participate in a musical capacity as a director and organist.
It is indeed an honor to have a job that is so varied and which I enjoy more each year. I've also started the travel ministry at St. John's and currently have trips planned to Mackinac Island in the fall of 2011 and to the Holy Land in Jan. of 2012.

Mary, I, our four children, and our dog Oatmeal made the cross country trek to West Bend in August of 2004 after 16 years in California. The St. John's family has shown us more love than we could have ever imagined. While missing family, friends, and shorter winters in California, the Lord continues to lead and bless.
