Dear family and friends of St. John’s West Bend,
We are so excited! On Sunday, October 20, the family of St. John’s gathered under the leadership of the Lord and unanimously called Rev. Stephen Reynolds to serve as Associate Pastor. If the Lord leads him here to serve, Pastor Stephen will oversee St. John’s Connections Ministry as we live out St. John’s mission of Connecting, Caring, and Sharing in Christ. Connecting people in the love and promises of Jesus is exciting – what’s better than that?
A little about Pastor Stephen and the Reynolds Family . . .
Stephen Reynolds currently serves as the Pastor at Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and his family relocated to Mesa, Arizona, in 1998, where he graduated from high school. Pastor Reynolds attended Concordia University in Irvine, California, where he earned a degree in Biblical Languages in 2009 and Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. As a part of Stephen’s ministerial formation, he completed a two-year vicarage (pastoral internship) at First Lutheran Church in Gainesville, Florida. Stephen was ordained and installed at Shepherd of the Coast in 2014 and was blessed to marry his wife Rachael in January 2015. The Lord has blessed them with two children, Samuel Jacob, who just turned two years old and another child that God is growing in Rachael right now! Rachael currently works as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Broward County Public Schools. In their free time, the entire family enjoys exploring toddler-sized pools, splash pads, and Green Bay Packer Football.
God leads, and we follow. One of the ways we follow is to talk with God by going to Him in prayer. Please pray for Pastor Stephen and his family, for Shepherd of the Coast, and for St. John’s West Bend. Pastor Stephen, Rachael, and Samuel will be here in West Bend the weekend of November 8, and they will be among us in worship. What a great opportunity to gather, meet the Reynolds Family, and pray together!
God is our Leader, and His will is what’s best. Thank you, Lord!
