“I believe in God, The Father Almighty… and in Jesus Christ, His Only Son… I believe in the Holy Spirit" - The Apostles Creed
Billions of Christians over the past sixteen hundred years have spoken the Apostles Creed in languages too numerous to list. The above phrases introduce three sections of the Apostles Creed known as the three articles.
Modern day disciples within St. John’s church family are learning to say the Apostles Creed. That’s a powerful connection to the whole Christian church. What’s also cool is that some of these same disciples are learning to apply the Apostles Creed to their daily lives through three truths that spring from it: “It’s All His,” “He Saves,” “His Will is What’s Best for Us.”
The results have been remarkable. Parents find the phrases easy for their children to remember and very helpful for bringing discipleship into the daily occurrences. Employees and employers comment that the use of these phrases in public has opened many doors for faith conversations. People of all ages are using the Three Truths as a way to orient themselves amidst all the challenging and sometimes chaotic experiences of life.
