Charles Burchfield: "Christian Enough?"
Part of the St. John's 150th Anniversary Sermons sermon series
Rev. Arlo J. Nau and his wife Lynn returned to St. John's as our guest preacher this month. Rev. Nau became St. John's first Associate Pastor on July 14, 1963. He was called from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Annapolis, MD which he had organized in 1954, and where he served a number of young men from the U.S. Naval Academy. He and his wife and two young children, Shawn and Yanna, resided in the then parsonage across from St. John's. While in West Bend, daughter Kyria was born, and later Joel and Krista came along. The Nau's have 11 grandchildren. In December, 1965 he accepted a call to the campus ministry at the University of Buffalo in New York State. Retired since 1996, the Nau's reside in Phoenix, Arizona.
