Our guest preacher this weekend is Pastor Robert Hoehner (assisted by his sons, Rev. Mark and Rev. Matthew Hoehner) who currently serves as the Director of Placement and Alumni Relations at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis MO. Pastor Hoehner served at St. John's as Associat Pastor (1983-1988; and 2005-2007), and as Senior Pastor (1988-1995). He and his wife, Susan, were also members of St. John's during the years that he served on the District Staff of the South Wisconsin District (1998-2005).
Pastor Hoehner and Susan are blessed with three children (and eight grandchildren): Nicole, Mark, and Matthew (graduates of St. John's Lutheran School). Nicole and her husband, Tim Muth, live in Sheboygan, WI. Nicole currently teaches History at Sheboygan Lutheran High School. They have three children: Jacob, Erin, and Kalee. Mark and his wife Christry live in St. Louis, MO. Mark is pastor at Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church in St. Peters, MO. Mark and Erin have three children: Micah, Isaiah, and Asher. Matthew and his wife, Christy, live in St. Louis, MO. They have two children, Joel and Elise. Matthew is serving at Messiah Lutheran Church in St. Louis, MO.
