"No Other Option - The Time has Come!!!"

Once again, we hear the same message from the Gospel of Mark. Namely that it all depends on Jesus and the Cross. In this passage Mark Teaches illustrates again that we are helpless to save ourselves and we don’t even know it. The disciples have no idea of what is coming and how much is tied to Jesus’ request for them to stay awake and pray. Their reality is our reality, and they weren’t even able to obey his word for one hour. God gives to Jesus the answer to his request that the cup be taken away, three times in the unintentional rebellion of His disciples in the Garden. Laying at Jesus’ feet sleeping was His answer. The Key phrase for us is Jesus’ pronouncement in verse 41. It is enough; the hour has come. (ESV) or Enough! The time has come. (NIV)
