No Worries:
Are you a hesitant about going to a Men’s Retreat, thinking its going to be an uncomfortable weekend filled with ‘self-help groups’ and structured time for ‘inward meditation’? Us too, most guys run in fear of that kind of stuff!
This Men’s Retreat is not like that. We want to kick back and relax; joke, be encouraged, and laugh until stuff shoots out our noses. We want to open up the bible, talk about God, and talk about real life. We want to be entertained, we want to do stuff. We want to walk away encouraged, motivated, and ready to press on.
Stuff to Do:
Guys like to do stuff! Well, we got a lot to choose from and ample free time to do it in. Maybe you choose to do absolutely nothing during free time; when’s the last time that was an option?
Hiking, Fishing, Canoeing, Paintball, Golf, Basketball, Volleyball, Archery, Trap & Sporting Clays, and the list goes on. Paintball, Golf, and Trap/Sporting Clays are an additional cost to be paid on site of each activity. Please indicate which activities you plan to participate in on your registration form. If nothing is indicated you will be automatically signed up for a scrapbooking class- scary we know!
The Focus:
Last year it was “Free to be Men”, that’s what we’ve been made to be. This year it is “Band of Brothers- An Army for One Another”. We know who we belong to and who has brought us together. God has given us the gift of Brotherhood. It’s personal, it’s relational; it’s the work of a family who knows, cares for, supports and challenges one another to live in Christ. It’s done in sacrifice, it’s lived in selflessness, it happens in Him.
Life is both a joy and a struggle, but it’s not a one man battle. We have been called together by Christ; committed and reliant, to keep one another alive and willing, wading through the worst of it all and knowing God’s victory is ours by grace. This is the “Band of Brothers”. We are “An Army for One Another”.

Army Lake Camp consists of 200 acres of thick woodlands and manicured grounds that feature a magnificent spring-fed lake and an array of state-of-the-art facilities. Army Lake Camp offers the perfect environment to relax, enjoy, learn and celebrate.
