Our salvation is fulfilled by the grace of God. The abundance of His mercy fills our daily lives. “For in Him, we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). The baptismal promise of our Father more than gets us by; there is completeness in it. In God we have Provision, in God we have Confidence, and in God we have Trust; for in God we are Fulfilled.
The “Fulfilled” series brings together three independent themes and weeks to form a larger narrative that can support and encourage our lives of stewardship. Each week’s theme is demonstrated through two readings (OT, NT, or Gospel & a Psalm). Although drawn from a set of the lectionary readings, each week does not follow lectionary specifically.
“Fulfilled” intentionally begins within a “Passive Righteousness” concept. Each weekly theme of “Provision, Confidence, and Trust” builds up from this passive platform. With this as the starting point, each week’s theme can help demonstrate the very idea of generosity in the nature of God and patterns of stewardship as those who have been fulfilled.
The series is intended to be celebratory while maintaining our year’s theme of “connections”. Each week includes a specific “Stewardship Moment”. These moments give an opportunity to highlight a stewardship related activities; our APP Launch, Milwaukee Rescue Mission, and The St. John’s Foundation. Although programmatic and organizational in title, each Stewardship Moment uses a highly relational approach and connection driven experience to highlight Personal, Congregational, and Community Discipleship for each worshiping community.
